1974

Instrument Industries, later renamed New England Affiliated Technologies (N.E.A.T) is founded in Burlington, MA

1982

First line of Motion Control Systems developed

1984

First high performance Air Bearing Spindles developed

1992

First Linear Motors developed

1995

Use of N.E.A.T Linear Motors in L1 satellite, which is still in orbit today

1998

Development of FiberBeam Air Bearing stage for Fiber Optic manufacturing

2000

N.E.A.T is acquired by Kollmorgen, which is subsequently acquired by Danaher

2002

Dover Instruments acquired by Danaher and combined with N.E.A.T

2004

Scanning stage technology developed with 31 picometer resolution

2005

Gen 8 flat panel glass inspection system with 14 axes of co-coordinated motion

2008

Polonator sequencer is developed in collaboration with Dr. George Church at Harvard University

2010

Introduction of miniature linear stage product line

2014

Dover Motion merges with Invetech

2015

New miniature stage launched "MMX" with patent pending motor design
